Celebrating International Women’s Day

March 8th is International Women’s Day. Girls, ladies and women of all ages, this day is for us. Today we celebrate how important our role is in the society, our accomplishments, as well as remembering our continuous fight against violence and inequality .

We have proven that we are capable of doing what men can, and in other areas, women can do it better. Gone are the days when ladies need to be silent because the world is dominated by men.Mothers are by default stay-at- home to care for the house and the kids. Current state issues should not be touched because it’s a testosterone field.

Now, we have working moms and those who juggle the chores while excellently managing their business/raket at home. Ladies have become world leaders in politics and in their own revolution. Modern day women are more active in fighting for equal rights, promoting family and parenthood advocacy, and volunteerism.

In the Philippines, two significant events happened just recently. First was the Senate approval of 120 Days Maternity Leave and the PMA graduation with 8 lady topnotchers led by valedictorian Rovi Martinez.

β€œShe is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future.”

β€” Proverbs 31:25

A toast to all women around the globe! We deserve to be loved and respected. Happy International Women’s Day.
