No Kilay, No Makeup, No Problem

In this world full of pang kilay and makeup, I exist- ang babaeng hindi marunong magkilay at magmakeup. Believe me, I want to learn how to doll myself up but time and other priorities prevent me from doing so. I admire those who have creative hands in making others more beautiful and rely on them when the day calls for foundation, highlighter, concealer, etcetera, etcetera. But wait, if you’re like me who does not have eyebrows on fleek don’t be disheartened. I’ll share my no kilay, no makeup look. Wow, ang lakas ng loob ko magshare ng ganito! May karapatan ba ako? Haha!

I’m not the type who has a lot of skin rituals but maybe I need to add a couple of items in my skin care routine as I am getting older. For now here’s what I use everyday in cleaning my face and to moisturize it before coloring my cheeks and lips.

iWhite Cleanser costs 24ph- mabango to and feel mo talaga luminis ang pes mo.

iWhite Moisturizer is only 22php. What I like about it is it’s water-based so hindi sya malagkit sa skin. Kapit agad ang blush kapag inapply.

iWhite BB Cream- I just discovered this item recently kahit na noon pa nagboom ang BB creams. I like its coverage, it matches my skin tone. At mura lang ito ha, 25php lang yata.
Tip: My makeup guru friend, Karlie, told me not to apply BB cream on forehead kasi may tendency na umitim ang color ng noo.

Color your cheeks

These are the few items I have- (from left) organic cheek and lip tint which I got as a gift, Luna Organics color mousse and Etude Water Tint from Korea, a gift from my sister.

The first tint has an orangey shade while Luna is more on the brown side. Bagay sa mga morena like me. I also use Luna on my lips because of its nude color. Kapag wala ka sa mood magpaka fierce na lippy, try nude. Minimal look lang. Etude is pinkish, very girly, and lasts longer than the first two. This one’s my favorite.

Hindi masyadong halata ang difference sa pic pero in person, kita ang pagkakaiba ng color.

Karlie’s tip: Apply blush on 2 fingers away from your nose. Marami na ring tutorial on how to do it properly. I’m to trying to achieve drunk blush pero mukhang lasing lang ata ang naglagay haha!

Lippies

I gave away a number of lipsticks and I do my best to prevent myself from buying. While I feel my heart beat fast when I see a lot of it, I think baka masayang lang sila kapag hindi nagamit lahat. And bilang nanay, syempre kailangan magkuripot minsan haha! Anyhoo, here’s what I have for my lips. I kept only my favorite shades na hindi naman nagbabago- red and pink. I promise to buy one as a gift for myself yung nude naman para maiba.

The shade that I use depends on my mood:

Revlon Passion pag feeling fierce (red na red talaga yan in person)

Revlon Addiction pag feeling pasweet na may (deep berry pink shade sabi sa Google)

Colourpop Hello Kitty pag feeling barbie ng mangkukulam

Karlie’s Tip: You may use lip moisturizer before applying lipstick para hindi dry. If you’re blush on is matte better daw kapag yung lippy mo is not matte (lagay ka ng lip gloss) para hindi magmukang tuyot ang face.

And the final touch, pressed powder. I just apply it in circular motion on my cheeks, chin and forehead. Tapos na. Hehe.

That’s my simple and easy everyday look. Ganyan din ang itsura ko sa office but if there’s an event, I ask Karlie to beautify me. Next project ko naman is my brows. Mas maaliwalas ang face kapag may kilay kahit konti. Syempre tipid tip e magpaayos sa kakilala para libre hehe. There’s a lot of makeup tutorials out there from natural look to panglaban na aura but remember more than what you put on your face, what’s important is your confidence and your attitude.
